Järvakandi Celebrates 140 Years
Järvakandi is known as the glass capital of Estonia and production of glass started in February 1879 as fishermen needed glass jars to preserve salted fish. Last year, they celebrated 140 of operation and the factory has been a key driver of economic growth, increasing social standards in the community ever since.
Improving Ocean Health in Brazil
Employees hit Arpoador Beach, in Rio de Janeiro, to support of World Cleaning Day. Collecting trash at beaches, public spaces and raising awareness of the benefits of using glass packaging are foundational to our core values.
Recycling Pops-Up in Perrysburg
In support of America Recycles Day, O-I created a Pop-Up Glass Packaging Collection Center at Global Headquarters in Perrysburg to promote and improve our local recycling efforts.
United Way & Thankful
In just 75 minutes, with the help of a large group of community volunteers, O-I employees helped pack 3,000 meals for children from low-income and underserved areas around Toledo.
