O-I Offers Digital Curriculum for Earth Day 2020

April 22 marks the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day. While Earth Day this year will look a little different than years past, with our celebrations moving online, at O-I, we still want to help provide a meaningful learning experience for students across the globe.

In honor of Earth Day 2020, we put together a digital curriculum packet to support teachers and parents in educating their students about why glass is the most sustainable packaging choice and how it is infinitely recyclable. The packet includes a lesson plan, a presentation and hands-on activities including a crossword puzzle, maze, word search and coloring pages. There are also ideas for re-using and recycling your own glass bottles while staying at home.

For more recycling facts on glass, watch here! And, consider using our interactive site on the glassmaking process.

Please feel free to share our Earth Day learning toolkit with your family and friends with school aged children. We all want to help make Mother Nature feel extra special today and every day!
