This July marks 35 years that O-I sponsors the LPGA Marathon Classic. This Toledo, OH-based tournament is the largest sporting event in the area and attracts people of all ages to watch professional women golfers compete from around the world.
With the support of over 1,500 volunteers and 400 local businesses, such as O-I, this tournament has raised and donated $11.8 million to 180 local children’s charities across Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan since its inception. As a result of last year’s tournament, more than $554,000 was donated to local children’s charities such as the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northwest Ohio, Read for Literacy, Raise the Bar and CASA – Lucas County.
