Perrysburg, Ohio (March 1, 2019)– The Manufacturing Institute today released the names of recipients for its annual Science, Technology, Engineering and Production (STEP) Ahead Awards. Casse Rose, Director of Quality for O-I’s Americas North operations, was selected for demonstrating excellence and leadership.
« Being part of O-I has given me tremendous opportunities professionally and personally, » said Rose who has been with O-I for 21 years. « I have worked at five different US plants, and held various plant positions including Shift Supervisor, Line Leader,Quality Manager and Plant Manager. It’s a challenging and rewarding industry, and I am honored to receive this recognition. »
The STEP Ahead Awards are part of the larger STEP Ahead initiative,launched to examine and promote the role of women in the manufacturing industry. The overall program includes recognition, research, and leadership for attracting,advancing, and retaining strong female talent.

Rose, who lives in Ottawa Hills with her three children, will receive her award at the STEP Ahead dinner gala April 11, 2019 in Washington, D.C. While there, she will also participate in a two-day professional development program that focuses on supporting and mentoring the next generation of female talent to pursue manufacturing careers.
