“I firmly believe that ‘not possible’ is a state of mind, and as soon as you start seeing that it’s what is holding you back, and that anything is possible—maybe not in the way you imagined it, but with some changes to it—it will allow you to do different things.” —Melianthe Leeman, Global Innovation Platform Leader (Switzerland)
“Moving with my family to several different countries has allowed me to take on new challenges and build my career. On the professional side, I have had the chance to work for great leaders across three continents, who have all taught me something different and have given me the opportunity to stretch my skills.” —Philippe Aerdeman, FP&A Manager (Australia)
“What we’re working on is a step-change in technology. If we’re going to be competitive in the future we need to take these chances. Any change in our company is going to be led by people.” —Daniel Johnson, Combustion Engineer (USA)
“O-I has provided me many opportunities to step outside of my comfort zone and develop both personally and professionally. As a result, I am connected with a great network of people that helped me develop and progress into the role I am in today.” —Stephanie Jenkins, HR Manager (USA)
“O-I is a place where you never stop learning. When I left O-I and came back, I had the opportunity to see that not all companies have the great values we hold, the passion for what we do, the team work, and our commitment to strive to achieve excellence. For that reason, I didn’t think twice about coming back.” —Jeffrey Newton, Plant Manager (Indonesia)
“O-I is filled with so many great and talented people…where my strengths complement them, and their strengths complement me. I really enjoy that my work can make a significant impact. It’s encouraging to see how effective sharing of insights and knowledge enables confident decision-making, which leads to the selection of the right strategic choices for the company.” —Diana Reveron, Senior Category Analyst (USA)
